Warsaw Airport Services has enlarged its passenger services. Since march 2008 the Handling Company has offered not only ground handling services but also ticketing service at Chopin Airport in Warsaw. Currently there are two of our ticketing offices: at Terminal Etiuda and Terminal 2.

Our cashiers represent a high level of quality in the scope of rebooking, tickets sale, collecting excess baggage charges as well as additional services (e.g. collecting charges for sport equipment, boarding priority).

Cash payments and credit cards are accepted.

Tickets sale includes connections operated by all carriers.

We look forward to our successful co-operation.

Zbigniew Knapczyński:
"Since 1990 I have been closely involved with the airline industry, serving in supervisory and managerial positions at LOT Airlines and LOT Ground Services. At PLL LOT S.A. I worked my way up from passenger and aircraft service coordinator to manager of the contracts and costs department, then later at LOT Gruond Services Ltd. I was ramp director for seven years before becoming commercial director until late 2007. Addictionally, I performed 2-year stint as VP of a private limited liability company Wittchen and one year as CEO in Transmission and Hydraulic LLC futhering my professional experience. In addition to graduating from the Warsaw School of Economics, I have continued to enroll in and participate in all types of relevant courses and workshops.

WAS goes beyond Warsaw

On June 1, WAS, a company based at Warsaw, launched handling activity at Rzeszow airport (RZE).

This date can be marked as a turning point on the market of ground handling services in Poland since by entering Rzeszow airport WAS became the first Polish ground handling company that renders handling services on more than one Polish Airports.

WAS purchased and delivered all the GHE necessary for providing professional handling services, namely: belt loader, high loader and baggage carts.

Additionally 40 people from the sub Carpathian region were employed within WAS structure.

Barcelona with new airline

As of May 2, 2007 a new route from Warsaw to the El Prat airport in Barcelona will commence. The new route will be operated by clickair, an airline co-owned by Iberia, which was founded in 2006.

Due to the emergence of a new kind of threat to civil aviation, i.e. liquid explosives, the European Union has accepted new passenger and baggage security rules. New regulations apply to all passengers using the EU airports, irrespective of their destination and become effective on 6 November 2006.
